This is one of the seedlings I grew out for a friend this year. I'm holding it over to see what it will do in the summer. I didn't get blooms until October when it was very cold. In fact, this plant got a freeze on it and I was lucky to even see any of the buds open up. It hasn't really shown me what it can do and I just couldn't dump it until I gave it a little more of a chance to prove itself.
L'Amour Cross
I am new to brugs, but I just love the starry-ness of it.
I think ya did right by it Brugie! If it bloomed for you after a freeze... theres for sure potential! Cant wait to see it next year. It sure has an interesting shape.
Jenks is right, it kind of looks like a star fish, I like it and can't wait to see it next year.
Thanks everyone. I thought it was pretty dark for fall color too Kell.
Brugie, I think it is a beauty for cold weather and if it is that dark in October, can you imagine what it will be like next summer. I can sure see why you made the decision to keep it.
It's a Keeper!
I think it might surprise you next year. Sure glad you kept it.
I hope it is pretty. We all know what I do with them if they don't put on a good show. LOL!!
Looks like a good one, Shirley!
Hoping for the best. It sure looks good now. Can't wait to see summer blooms
It's a beauty in color and shape. I'll be watching this thread for photos of next summer's blooms.
It is a lovely flower!!!
Shirley, it looks very promising. I would keep it also to see, what the flower will look like next summer.
Good to see you Sue. Where have you been?
Thanks everyone. I do hope it is worth the time.
