Hi,
Dave's Garden is such a wonderful site! I wish I had known about it earlier. I live in the Frederick, Md area. I love all sorts of perennials and annuals, but my passion is the daylily. I've been growing them for several years, but never tried to cross them. Now I'm trying to learn as much as I can about hybridizing the daylily, so any tips are appreciated. This spring will be my first try at sprouting my own seeds. Can't wait for the snow to melt!

Welcome! We are glad to have you here as part of this big family of gardeners. I discovered daylilies about 5 years ago and bought more than I had room to plant, but I guess that is probably a typical reaction! They are so pretty and very tough plants that take care of themselves, the ideal plant in my opinion.

Dave's Garden is a warm and welcoming place, even in Winter. I've read daylily flowers are edible, I know they sure are pretty.
