Last Sunday I planted radishes, lettuce and chard in the raised bed in the greenhouse. Some of the radishes and lettuce are already up! This is so much fun!
They're comming up!
:)
Lucky you Mary ;D

What kind of radishes and lettuce did you plant?
Deer tongue, red leaf, and buttercrunch lettuce, cherry belle radishes, seeds leftover from last year's garden. The lettuce is still hard to see but the radishes are quite visable. My hubby is excited about eating homegrown radishes for Christmas, or maybe it will be New Years... I think it depends on how much heat the sun gives us in the next few weeks. One yellow pear tomato has buds forming and also 2 small green tomatoes that were pollinated before I cut the starts off the mother plant in the garden several weeks ago.
Mary, that is so awsome. It will be great to have fresh salad all winter. How warm do you keep your GH?
It stays at about 50 unless the sun gives it a boost. I have a soil heating cable in the bed where I planted all the vegies, another one on order for the other end. That gave the soil in the raised bed a little temperature boost but the soil thermometer says about 55 most of the time.
