our comp got a nasty worm and a trojan something or another?---have been netless for awhile,---and its too cold n gray to work outside-------and sniff Ive had a cold n :S----- I caught myself thinking two or three times over the last few day----"I sure do need to get outside and do SOMETHING? in my beds" its like yoga to me, anyone else missin the dirt?

Well, I miss it a lot so I sit down by my plants stand and stare at the little cuttings and seedlings and seeds...and dream of next spring.
I do the same. I play in dirt inside.
playsndirt, come to CA and I have a shovel with your name on it LOL. I am planting more lettuce and carrots and beets this weekend. I also have four 11 yr old girls that will be making some sort of plant porject goodies today. I guess I had best drag myself out and clean off the potting bench.
Well, I actually have hands without any stains or dirt under the nails right now! So, I putter with my plants that I am overwintering. Blasted aphids are showing up though. And I am in the process of going through all my seeds and making a list of what I have, so that I can start planning next year's beds.
But I love looking forward to the seed catalogs that are starting to arrive and scrapbooking photos of my flowers. While Christmas shopping yesterday, I bought some landscaping software where you can scan in a photo of your house and then add beds, trees, bushes, etc. I haven't used it yet - - hope I didn't just waste my money.
Have been stuck in the house for a month now and already, I can't wait for spring and getting into the greenhouse and the dirt. There is nothing like it. Sure beats snow and cold anyday.
i totally miss it! If it wasn't for Dave's Garden and the internet, I'd be completely lost! Sorry to hear about your computer playsndirt and I hope you feel better...
