I have never seen this one before - love the color too!!

Me too! Beautiful setting!

Me three! Love it! It is so helpful to have a picture like this when you are going through a densely worded specialty iris catalog with virtually no pictures--then you can come to the PDB and look up pictures. Thanks for posting this really beautiful iris--love the setting too--all the white rocks. Here in Florida rocks like that can be hard to come by unless you are willing to pay high prices for imported rocks. Once exposed at the surface our local limestone seems to just melt away.

I'm glad you enjoy the photo of this Louisiana so much. Navajo Rose is not only gorgeous, but it's an excellent increaser too. Last year it put on a really nice show - - with three or four separate stalks, having 3 opened blooms (at the same time) on each stalk. It was amazing!

Margie, could you share with us where you bought your original rhizome? I haven't been able to find it yet. Thanks,

I received this iris as an exchange/or trade one day - - while a bunch of us iris friends got together for lunch. We were all digging iris 2 summers ago and decided to meet for lunch to exchange irises with each other.

Don and Bobbie Shepard in Phoenix Arizona introduced it. Here is their website link below. Their e-mail address is on their website in case you want to reach them. They still may sell it at their garden.............. or at least may be able to tell you where to find it.

Thanks Margie. This one is just too pretty to not have.
