That looks like Pink Spires--which i've been trying to germinate, and which supposedly is happier in drier soil than regular blue vervain.
Hi, Oh..wow. This is a picture from a plant in my old yard. Since then I've moved into another home and ditto yard. I have raised this plant from seeds (which was easy to do) and it flowered in normal garden soil. Our climate is relatively wet :-(
If you raised it from seeds, what were they--just "blue vervain," or maybe Pink Spires? Whatever it is, I can't look at that photo with shuddering with desperate desire--I want that plant!
I tried twice with Pink Spires seed from T & M, zero germination--but they accidentally sent me a third packet, and I planted it outside last fall. Will see in spring if I finally got lucky. I unfortunately have clay soil whose drainage in winter is questionable, but I now live on a ridge, so it can get dry in summer...
Saya, those are absolutely gorgeous!
