Don't these look so similar?

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Both are winter photos, so their colors are pale.
Guess which ones they are.

Oh boy, another guessing game.

Butterfly on the left and Rothkirch on the right. That is the best I can do.

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

Butterfly, Rothkirch, or L'Amour. Best I can do, they are beauties. Just wait for their summer colors, will be fantastic!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

LOL. No fooling you guys. BF and RK. But don't they look similar. The colors are actually the same right now. RK does not like winter. She is having a terrible time. L'A is still dark green and a beauty!

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

Guess we'll like L'Amour better than RK then, if it is growing and green?

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

Kel,the root system of RK is very sensitive to overwatering and cold temperatures.

Do you think it is too cold in the hoophouse Monika? It is in the 40s and 50s at night, 50's and 60s most days right now but occ'l in the 70s. I had it in the dining room at first but it looked sad in here also! It was doing great outside but the evening it was going down to the 30's, I moved it into the dining room and it immediately dropped leaves and was turning all yellowish.

Woe is me!

Gee, Kell, yours' is looking like mine then!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Gee Gloria, not a distinciton I really wanted! LOL

I did take 2 huge sprouts off just in case and they are doing well in their plastic bags.

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

I'm down to 1 stem, 5 leaves, afraid to take a cutting of it! Think it is already a "gonner". Never grew outside all summer!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

I just ran outside and looked again. It is holding its own but definitely it is in shed mode. I will not water it!

Poor Gloria! If you can get it to last until spring and get it outside it may perk up.

If the pot soil is wet, yes, it is too cold. The soil should be kept slightly moist and if all leaves are gone NO water given until the soil has become dry.

Kell, love that pink poinsettia.
