I gotta say, despite the fact I'm in Fla for 25+ years, never heard of a brug, heck I never saw one either. But down the road from my house yesterday, I drove by these hanging over their backyard fence facing the road. I had to go back and get my camera to take a picture. 4 Years I lived here and never saw them. Thank you DG for making me more aware.
Brugs Surprise
and won't your neighbors be thrilled when they see the unusual varieties you grow!
But Kell, they are not in my yard, and I didn't get a clipping, nor do I know how to propagate one. Tell me, maybe I'll go over and get some. lol
Oh, those are beautiful. Makes me want to live in Fla.
If you can talk the owner into a cutting, you're in business.
Great, that probly won't be difficult to do.
Tomorrow.
Molly
Hey everyone...looks like we hooked another one!! LOL!! Hope you do get some cuttings. These plants are so addictive.
Very addictive! It will only be the beginning ....
Go for it Molly. I'm sure they would be happy to give you a few cuttings if you asked.
No, Molly, I did not mean those! Not that they are not very nice but get some more unusual ones from one of us here. That will really make your neighbors take a second look. A huge EP or or a Rosamond would knock their socks off esp since where you are they would get huge!!
You can practice on those however since most of us killed our first cuttings. Just get a piece, cut off the big leaves and stick it in wet dirt. Do not water until it is dry. Keep it in shade until it roots.
Molly, If you come to the TNRU in May, I will have brug plants that need a home. Nat
Well thank you Nat. I will be at The TNRU in May. We are having a vacation. Long time in coming.
Molly
Yea! Since I know you will be coming, I'll baby some of my cuttings so that you will have decent size plants to take back. Hopefullly, there will be some other brug lovers that come also.
