Thought I'd pop in with a quick note.
Melissa and Adam were home for Thanksgiving and announced (with a little help from Stan's mom) that they are having a baby in July. I, of course, have known for awhile, but I told them they had to make the big announcement to the families. Stan's family is having a baby boom - 2 nieces, a cousin and Melissa. There's also an engagement. Busy year ahead
Night before last, I got the sheets out of the dryer to put on the bed and I told Stan it sounded like there was a heifer in the back room. He looked out a back window and didn't see anything, so we got ready for bed. I was in brushing my teeth and the motion light out by the milkhouse went on and sure enough there was a heifer strolling through the evergreens in the back yard. Stan went out and the second time I saw him and Sadie trotting by, I went out. A neighbor had a swimming pool a few years ago that they let the wind take down for them. We ended up with most of the pieces and one of them had taken the fence behind the barn out. We got everybody in - it was below zero with the windchill and starting to snow again - Stan fixed the fence, fun on the farm. The ding dongs wouldn't go in the barn if you wanted them to, but they will wander about at any time of the day or night!
Jewel, I hope things go well with your dad.
KJo, I love to hear about your goats, but wouldn't want any!
