Benefits of Rescuing Dogs

Walkerton, VA(Zone 7a)

My wife and I have always had Airedale Terriers. 4 to be precise. We got the first 3 as puppies. We got our last one from the Airedale Terrier Breed Rescue Society in our region. She was abandoned at age five; and she was a mess medically and psychologically. Well, after a year of work we had a loyal, friendly, happy and goofy pet. She's gone now to bladder cancer; but she was worth all the work. If anybody out there is considering rescuing an abandoned dog, do it. It's a rewarding experience. It just takes patience.
Have a look. Does she look content? I sure was
