We had an early Christmas on Thanksgiving so my folks could leave early for TX. My thoughtful SIL gave me 8 bags (12 each) of tulip bulbs. They are designated for fall planting and mid to late spring flowering.
Unless we get a late fall warm-up, these ain't going into the ground this year. Besides not having a bed ready for them! The question is, can I store them over the winter? How? Can they be planted in the spring? Will they bloom?
TIA for your advice!
Sue
Bulb Storage
Plant them in pots (large container, whiskey barrel)and keep the pots in your garage. Water when needed. Tulips can not freeze, so they would be alright.
depends on what you mean by freeze. They should be OK to 14F like they have survived in my garden.
Thanks for the help!
Sue
