Since the subject of this moth pops up often on threads, I thought I would share this link. It has a couple of good pictures of this masquerader. And it will introduce you to a really fine hummingbird/wildlife site that originates near me in York, S.C.

Hummingbird Moth
That is neat. I once swore that I had a hmmer visiting my Brug every evening until a neighbor resorted to catching (and releasing) one to prove it was a moth.

I saw moths of this kind visiting a cactus and a bromeliad once. They are very interesting, as they seem to have a tail just like a hummingbird´s that helps them to soar in front of the flower, and a long proboscys that can be many times the body´s lenght. Thanks for the link.
