Fragrant Brugs.....

Needville, TX(Zone 9a)

I have a small collection of Brugs started this year and I think I am getting addicted - they are so beautiful! I would like to ask DG members to post as to which Brugs are fragrant (intensity does not matter). Of the ones that are fragrant, are they fragrant all the time or only at night? Plus please share which is your personal favorite (fragrance or not) to grow. Thanks......

My favorites are Monster Brug, Valley Misty Pink and Whiskers. They are all heavily scented at night and sometimes on dreary rainy days you have a light daytime scent.

I like Butterfly. Pretty, doesn't get too big, great fragrance and good pod setter or pollen parent. Versicolor Orange has a great smell and some days you can smell her all during the day and night.

Thanks for the reply Donna and Brugie....(Ü)....

This list is going to serve for when I am buying these little guys to add to my collection.....I think I want to sort of specialize in the fragrant ones (a fettish starting perhaps?), lol.

I like Butterfly, also.
And Sunset, Snowbank, RK, New Ocre.
Suaveolins white and CG always great fragrance.
And the doubles Golden Lady and Gemini.
And the fragrances are different, too.

Thanks Abutilon....it is very good to know about the fragrances being different too.

Give me a good Doc Suess.

Thanks root - my list is growing.....

I've heard that Tiara, Sunray and Citronella all have a lemon scent.
Got one, and in the process of getting the others, lol.

You sound like me, I'm after the scent! But then someone said, if they were all scented, it would probably be too much:( Guess I'll find out the hard way. Next year, I might not be able to go outside at night with all the moths.
