another ugly

Milton, FL(Zone 8a)

This one is not a keeper.Nice butter yellow but no fragrance,no tendrils and nothing else to recommend it.I will keep it for one more flush just in case it changes to a triple pink.

It's always disappointing when one of your "children" doesn't turn out right. All that time and attention lavished upon them and this is how they repay you, LOL.

Sorry, gone2seed, (giggle) but when I saw this post, all I could think of was Bill Cosby telling his TV series son
"I brought you into this world and I can take you out of it!"
Wondering if a few threats like that might make it blush "pink" with shame??

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

I've had a few of those too. However, when I get one with good color and maybe no tendrils, I might keep it anyway and try to work some good traits into it. It never hurts to have a few in the garden to try to improve upon. I do like the pale yellow color. This is coming out of the mouth of a woman who has been bored to tears the last two days. LOL!!

Baytown, TX(Zone 9b)

I know I am a newby here and I don't make the beautiful babies all of you do. But I think it is beautiful.
Thanks for all your hard work and sorry for your disappointment.
I know that about kids, You can put alot of good morals, Love, time and attention in them and they dissappoint you and turn into something ugly and do drugs and prison time.
Sorry I must really be down. I don't like holidays much.
I love my 1 yr old and 3 year old grand-daughters but not what they have to endure. I think he is selling again. I sure hope it is my imagination.
I guess that is why I love gardening, Even if it comes out wrong It is still beautiful to me.
Sorry, Guess I needed to talk. Hope I did not ruin anyones day.

Sorry
another disappointed mom,
Sandy

iloveJesus99, hang in there.. its such a shame, its hard not to get tempted by money, but seems... you can have an amazing family, an amazing amount of schooling, and amazing suport, and still have a dickens of a time making it in this money hungry world. My prayers are with you and your family.

Milton, FL(Zone 8a)

Noblesville, IN(Zone 5a)

I still say there isn't a ugly brug. because it is all in the eye of the beholder. I know some are a lot prettier than others. I hope some of the ones I have started are real nice ones. Can anyone tell what color a JP x Isabell will be?

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Boy, it is hard to say what you will get. It could be yellow, pink, or white. Jean Pasko is a pretty brug and so is Isabella. Hey, maybe you will get lucky and get one that is peachy color. LOL!!! Good luck.

SE Arky, United States(Zone 8a)

Hi gone2seed!!! I'm a newbie and would LOVE a cutting. Do you take paypal, which surely is easy!! Tell me, if you send a cutting, what should I do with it when it arrives???? TIA!!

Milton, FL(Zone 8a)

Sherrylike you can send through Paypal at countrygdn@yahoo.com or you can wait and send postage after you get the cuttings. When you get the ccuttings stick them halfway in well drained potting soil and soak once. After that, water only when they are dry.

Milton, FL(Zone 8a)

Someone very kindly pointed out to me that it was a mistake to send out an un-named seedling as it could turn up later under a dozen different names and cause a great deal of confusion.True.So this one,for better or worse, will be called "Ugly Duckling".In the future it's the compost pile.

Milton, FL(Zone 8a)

Mailed one package today to ilovejesus99.Sherrylike,I need your address.
Pinky100...thanks for the website address.

Baytown, TX(Zone 9b)

I am sorry that there are people out there that would cause so much trouble with ugly duckling. I don't intend to do anything but enjoy. I have had a single white, a yellow/gold and pink off and on for a while. I never knew there were more or even named ones until I found Dave's Garden alittle over a month ago. I am sorry to hear you must be so careful. I will always look at it as ungly duckling with lots of love.
Gone2seed you have mail.

Shelly221 Thanks! Your love and prayers are much needed.
And thank all of you just for being here.
tiG a thank you for your shoulder to lean on.

Denver, CO(Zone 5b)

Baytown, TX(Zone 9b)
