Weird Issue with Cats - static cling

All three of my cats have bad static cling. Everytime you pet them it's "snap, crackle, pop!" It's sounds like we're eating Rice Krispies.

They eat quality cat food and I run the humidifier. I have no idea what's causing it or how to fix it. I've even attempted to fix it by rubbing them down with used Downy sheets to no avail.

Have you ever experienced this? What did you do to fix it?
