Boonies, SD(Zone 4b)

Happy Sunday!
Well, I don't know if I'm going to go to my dad's today. Woke up to 5-6 inches of snow on the ground and wind. You can tell it's not going to be pleasant, just by the way the wind sounds when you wake up and if you see snow blowing by the window. Too bad I can't curl up and stay in bed.
DH had to go out to find a calf right away this morning. He was looking in the dark last night on the 4-wheeler and then he took the pickup to look in the corn stalks. He never did find it, but it was in the yard this morning, or so I assume, because I saw him shut the gate so they couldn't go into the corn field.
DS was supposed to leave early this morning to go home, but he and his friend decided it wasn't worth the aggravation to go in the storm. They decided to wait until this afternoon to see if it lets up. Smart move on their part.
DH caught one of our old geese and put it into the chicken coop for the winter. She's so old and gimpy, he didn't think she would survive outside for another winter. We got the windows fixed and caulked in the coop yesterday, so that's another big job done. Now I just need to find someone who is looking to get rid of some chickens so mine will stay warmer. Those 10 chickens are going to have a hard time keeping warm when it gets below zero.
Well, better get moving.
Stay warm everyone.
