Nice picture. I just traded for a piece of Medusa.

I believe that this is Huernia schneideriana, a stapeliad. Not euphorbia at all.

Dave, how do I move this to the correct family name? This plant (or the original mother plant) is over 30 years old. My grandmother had the plant growing in her greenhouse for at least 30 years. When she passed, each of her grandchildren took a piece of the plant home to grow. I gave some to each of my children to keep going. Neat, huh.

Is it true that when you break off a piece of this plant... and stick it in soil... will it grow roots and keep growing?

Niceville, FL(Zone 8b)

Someone told me you need to let it scar over for a couple of days before planting it. I just take the piece and lay it down sideways. It grows roots where the plant touches the soil. kind of like mother of thousands, which is another favorite of mine.

Thanks for the info.!
