Albany (again), NY(Zone 5b)

Everyone - I'm grateful for this challenge. We have a Thanksgiving Potluck tomorrow and knowing that there is a weigh in on Saturday will give me more strength not to over-indulge. Not that I'll be perfect, but I will be more conscious of what I eat tomorrow and how this will show on the scale a day later.

This is great for me - keeps me more accountable. I would have more trouble being accountable for the "holidays" (always easy to "put off"), but, I feel very aware of how I eat tomorrow will impact what I weigh on Saturday morning.

Diet tidbit I just read:

Try not to indulge on the things you can eat all year (for example - mashed potatoes) and instead save those calories or carbs for something "special" that you won't eat the rest of the year.

Put an interesting perspective for me - so, maybe no mashed potatoes but perhaps a slice of pumpkin pie.
