My oriental lilies have been in the ground for about 3 years and need to be moved due to lack of sufficient sun now that the trees have grown. It is ok to move now or wait till spring? Zone 6
Oriental Lilies
Do it NOW! Fall is the BEST TIME for planting!! Do divide your Lilies carefully. If they have been in the ground for 3 years, you will have lots of small bublets. Simply remove the bulblets & plant them in good draining soil. Each one will grow into a Lily, which will probably bloom by your second summer.
BTW, which oriental Lilies do you have??? If you are interested in trading, please let me know. I'll send you a link to where I maintain my trading list.
