Can you pinch this plant back? I have had mine for 16 years and this is the first time that it has bloomed. I put it in direct sunlight this summer and fertilized it, and that did the trick. I want mine to look like yours!

what is the best soil & fertilizer for this plant? I know mine is big enough to bloom but hasen't. I put it outdoors where it got to much sun or something. Some of the leaves dried to a white color.
