Chatting to various people recently the common census is UK bulbs are 8 weeks early e.g Narcissus 'Cedric Morris' is already blooming instead of January.

Beautiful, beautiful pictures, Mark. I have never seen the Leucojum before. It is lovely.

My Cyclamen coum are still blooming although it is starting to get really cold. I think their leaves are as beautiful as the flowers.

What kind of gentian is that? I am starting to get hooked on them and that one is a stunner.

My Iris bulbs which I planted in early October are shooting up. They are not supposed to flower until May but they are already 4 inches high!! What on earth will happen to them?

Antrim, Northern Ire, United Kingdom(Zone 8b)

nothing. They always grow in the autumn and then stop by Jauuary. Even if these leaves are destroyed by frost they will go on to produce more leaves and flowers

thanks Mark that is reassuring to know :))
