Bolero still having 5 skirts

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

Bolero is still blooming. The flowers are smaller and have less color, but most of them drop three skirts and show the fourth, while the fifth is smaller.

Gosh guys, we need a double or a quadruple that will give us double or quadruple babies!! This one is so great.

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

These plants are getting like those infertile women, when they have any, it is quintuplets.

I like this brug anyway, does it make bud turn brown/rot quickly because the skirts don't fall? It is certainly a "conversation piece".

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

Gloria, the skirts do not rot. Bolero had one of the hottest places this year in the garden (I didnt know, that we would get Sahara Temperatures LOL)

Biel, Switzerland(Zone 7a)

Denver, CO(Zone 5b)

Oh Monika! How wonderful! You are an amazing breeder! I appreciate all that goes into what you do!
That is just an amazing flower to me!

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

Thank you all. It amazes me also because Bolero is in the winterhouse since September. The plant does not get direct daylight. poppysue, Bolero and Baby Bolero are two different plants. Baby Boleros flowers are much smaller.

Stunning as usual. Five skirts, all dropped, simply beautiful. What a pretty brug.

Ellicott City, MD(Zone 7a)

A simply gorgeous Brug! Five skirts is truly amazing!! Is that the record for the most number of skirts on a Brug?

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

HHG is supposed to have eight skirts.

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

Is it really??????

Could it be we don't really have HHG?

Has anyone had 8 skirts on theirs?Even undropped......

I think my HHG had 3 skirts.

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)
