Believe it or not, my weight that was up so high last week is back down again. My loss for the week is five pounds (and 0.8% body fat), bringing the challenge total to ten pounds.
Wish I had met my goal of 15 pounds, but rather than say I only reached 67% of my goal, I am choosing to view it as: I have lost ten pounds since August. Not bad at all. Ten pounds is a very respectable loss, especially with a lot of muscle gain due to my starting a workout regimen. I also increased my exercycle time from ten minutes to fifteen. Worked out on average twice a week at the gym.
I attribute these accomplishments to setting GOALS. The challenge is something that made me set a goal - a goal is what made me work harder and probably not quit during the bad weeks - and we all know I had a few. So, ultimately, I give this challenge a lot of credit to me getting my butt in gear again.
Everyone, thanks for the support and here's to a Holiday Challenge. I look forward to hearing about other people's successes and obstacles through the end of the year. I am possibly facing some huge life changes (good ones) and will need all of the focus I can muster to continue with this diet.
