We are moving plants into the new greenhouse & not too soon as it has turned chilly (DH said cold). I still have most of the brugs outside though. I put a couple in & having to cut roots that went out of drain holes. THe larger pots I'm leaving outside as they came back last winter but some are in 1-3 gallon pots & afraid it will kill them. Is the ones I cut going to be OK? One sure looks bad now & afraid it is a gonner. Are we better off just taking our chances outside since they are also somewhat in the ground also. I can pile some pinestraw around them.
Thanks for any advice.

unhappy brugs
I have had that problem where they rooted deeply in the ground under the pot. When lifted up and the roots tore away, they wilted severely!! I would trim it you give it less plant to have to sustain with the smaller root ball.
Though one I didnot touch and it was so wilted and shriveled. On is own it dropped most of its leaves and in a couple of weeks it perked back up. Just do not stress it more with heat or sun or drown the roots by overwatering.
