poison plants for pets

Well we'll have soon our puppy and I'm looking forward to it. Do any have of you had bad experiences with poison plants for pets. As long as he's a puppy I'll put him, when outside, in a fenced place. Do dogs eat from poison plants or do they have a natural instinct what is poison or not?
I have Brugs and Euphorbia. You think it's better to remove them out of my garden?
