I decided to cut the tops out of my Dr. Suess and put it in water and see if they will still bloom in the house. They are full of buds and it was getting down to 32 tonight. I sure hated to cut it down. Seems like I remember some one doing that last year.

I hope it works for you, GRC. I've had a couple larger buds open in water but it seems like the smaller buds usually drop off.
LOl I have pods on cutting sitting in water it never hurts to try I wish i would of thought about the blooms in waterI missed some seedlings blooming because i cut them down.
Boy do I hear you Jim. I spent the entire day bringing in every brug and tropical. The wind actually blew the blooms off a few of mine before I could get them in ): Needless to say, I wasn't ready and my sore back and I am gonna be real upset if those darn weathermen are wrong AGAIN!
