OK all you L'Amour nuts. Don't know how many of you have seen it yet but there is another one on ebay right now.
Only 2 days left and I am bidding on it myself. Will NOT pay $70 for another one though.
L'Amour
I saw it too! Will we be having a bidding war? lol
David, it's finally starting to get around, hopefuly it won't cost so much.
btw, i never told you i didn't get the GT pollen to take, but i awfully appreciate you sending it.
Yes i spotted it this morning and informed everyone on BGI LOl so how is the one you already have doing?
L'Amour is my prettiest brug I think. It is the only one that gets real dark in my yard of the pink types. I am hoping to have one as big as a tree this next summer. Mine has not suckered yet but keeps growing sideways. Soon it will not fit in my dining room it will be so wide. It is full of buds. I want an alley tree in it! LOL
I can't decide which would be a good partner for the pods. I know everyone goes pink but I was thinking I might go CG or Big Yella. Anyone have any ideas?
kell, do you like it better than RK? i'd personally rather have FM or one of the mountain girls, but that's just me. i hear sometimes the suavolens genes come out in lamour crosses.
i have a yellow from crossing 2 pinks. i'd use whiskers, unless you have aurea gold. Whiskers is a good dad.
The one I got on ebay is doing great. This morning I got an outbid notice and will not bid on it again. It went over the max that I intended on bidding for it. I can't afford to buy too many brugs at the price I paid my original L'Amour.
Looks like this one is going to get a bit higher in price also.
No bidding war here Mystic!!I'm done with that one.
Brugmania out bid me ...I'm done =(
§
Brugmania, i have some swamp in Florida...
oh wait, you do too!
John, I have some swamp in GA! LOL!!
I love my L'Amour. Much better than swamp.
Awww....Roz, I would too!
Roz, I hope your L'Amour is growing like a weed. She is a pretty one for sure.
Actually, I wouldn't mind buying a rooted one myself. L'Amour is hard to root so if you have plans for it in several places in your yard because it is so dark and really stands out in a garden vignette, it would be great to get a hold of another one.
Can you imagine a L'Amour here instead of my Rosamond? The dark pink color against the purple? Though I love Rosamond truly, it would be so much more striking darker to my eye.
Roz, i was teasing John. i know it's lovely. Actually, he is buying it for me for a Christmas present. I told him, with all my new seedlings I have enough pink, but you know how he is.
I love that picture Kell. I'd love to see your whole yard. It must be awesome.
