Get well soon Frannie.

For those of you who don't know, Frannie is having surgery today on her neck. This all came about due to the fender bender she had six weeks or so ago. I wanted to start this thread so we can all wish her well. She should be home from the hospital in a couple of days. I'm hoping that Lisa will jump in here and let us know how she is doing. Frannie, I will be praying for a speedy recovery and will talk to you via land line when you are home and rested a bit. Please take care of yourself.

I heard form Frannies daughter lisa a few hours ago and she said that everything went great with the surgery and her mom should be home in a few days.

Lisa called and Frannie was still in recovery but all went well and they thought she might even get to come home tomorrow. But I am sure they will wait until she gets out of recovery to decide. Frannie you go girl. I knew all would go well! You have to get well quick to keep me out of trouble. lol (((Frannie)))

Lisa is going to come here when she gets home and let us all know how Frannie is getting along. She was heading out to get something to eat when I talked to her, but it sounds really good for Frannie.

Hello Everyone! Lisa here! Just got home from the hospital. Mom is doing good. She went through the surgery like a champ and main part of it is over now, just the recovery which will take some time... I left around 8:30PM Central Time, and she just got through eating a popsickle and some juice. She is uncomfortable, but was given a pretty hefty dose of Morphine right before I left. My dad decided to stay up there tonight with her, since he is a light sleeper to watch over everything. She was resting a little more comfortable and even beginning to dose a little. Anyway, I will be back here tomorrow for another update to let you all know if she comes home or not. Thank you so much for all your loving and thoughtful comments. I will print them out in the morning and take to her as well as a bouquet of Brugs and other flowers from the garden. Take care all and Thanks!

Hey Everyone, Thanks again for your loving thoughts and I forgot to thank Shirley yesterday for starting this wonderful thread. Well GOOD NEWS!!! Mom is on her way home. Less than 24hrs since the surgery, she is coming home. She did great through the night and this morning the doctor came in and said why wait till this afternoon to go home, get out of here this morning. So, She is!! I am not for sure when she is going to be able to stay up long enough to get back here, but the way she is going, Frannie will return, and who knows, maybe later this evening she might pop in and say Hi.. Thanks again!

Wow - that is wonderful news. I am very far behind on the news, sorry it happened, but life is full of setbacks. Glad it's fall so now she will have time to recover before spring planting time. Keep your chin up Franny! (I guess that would be hard to do right now tho)?

Hey Everyone, Lisa here! Well mom made it home yesterday around 11:30... Amazing, At the Hospital at 11:15AM the day prior and out in 24 hours... She is did pretty good yesterday, but last night was really rough. I am back at work today and it is killing me not being there with her.. But she is in good hands and I have already talked to her this morning and she was pretty tired and had just taken some pain meds. I will definitely do a better update this evening when I get home..

Thanks Lisa. Going through surgery takes so much out of a person. I hope your mom will get some good rest and also hope that the pain will soon slow down.
