Wow! Neat plant! I am putting this on my want list for my "chocolate garden" I'm going to have some day! Thanks for posting it.

You might want to put 'Chocolate Chip' Ajuga on your list too. It has a wonderful burgandy/brown color in the summer, goes to green this time of year here in 9b. It is a low growing small leafed variety, not at all like the classic Ajuga of gardens past. Can't remember the alternate cultivar name, but I think it's in the PDB.

ok Thanks for the tip! It is indeed in the plants database. Going on my list right now. I'm including any plants with chocolate fragrance or the word chocolate in the name. I have 20 on my list now, many of which are daylilies, iris and coral bells. Didn't have the ajuga though! Got it now.

Roshana, you may also want to add Kalanchoe tomentosa 'Chocolate Soldier' to your list.
It is a beautiful Felt plants with chocolate and gold foliage.

Happenstance, I am so jealous of you. That is the Most beautiful Kalanchoe I have ever
seen. Your beharensis is so much more golden and undulated/gaped than the normal elephant ears!
I must have a cutting or leaf!

Oh, 6 year old thread! Welcome to DG Kalanchoweezy. I don't think the previous two posters come here any more though. :-(

Ha. It would have been smart of me to look at the date of those posts.
Thanks for the heads up.
Are you interested in the different varieties of Kalanchoe beharensis?

I have a couple of the little ones but I am moving north of San Francisco so I do hope the slightly cooler nights don't do them in.
