coral glow

Murrells Inlet, SC(Zone 8a)

I've noticed that a lot of people are asking for coral glow because of the pic of it in the BGI photo gallery. Has anyone other than me noticed that the pic of coral glow and coral pink are the same identical photo? I noticed it way back in February and have never thought to mention it to anyone.
I have no idea which is the real coral glow in those pics. One of them has USA under it and one has Germany under it.Both of them have Monica's last name on them.
I do know that the plant that I have labled as coral glow does not look like the one in that picture.

Those 2 photos are misleading because they are of the same bloom. That means that one of the 2 is mislabled or does coral glow go by the name coral pink in Germany?

I have no idea who to ask to check into the source of the pics for that gallery but I don't think anyone here has a coral glow that looks like the one in that picture.

It would be nice to know what the real coral glow looks like. Mine blooms almost like a frosty but darker.

Could someone from BGI please check into this as I have no access to that site.

You are right David. I'm sure Bonnie will check into this right away. Thanks for mentioning it.

Coral Glow and Coral Pink are different plants. The pic of Coral Glow is incorrect.CG looks like the Frosty,S.Pink,I.Pink,Isabella crowd but is a bit darker than most except Isabella.CG does have very large blooms.

If you click on the first one... the Coral Glow, a different picture comes up. http://www.brugmansias.org/images/gallery/CoralGlow3.jpg It must just be the thumbnail that's wrong.

my apologies, it's fixed.

I told you she would get to it quickly. That is what I call service.

lol, good thing 24 has commercials. I'm so sorry about the confusion, that's what happens when 26 galleries are put together in one night. It was the thumbnail that was wrong, but that's what people see first.
so sorry to everyone that thought they would be able to get that one :(

This pic was submitted to BGI by me a while back as well as ABADS to get the name registered. This flower was from Alabama and was hybridized by a friend at a university there. It has since dissappeared from their collection. Some were distributed..but thats all the more I know..there is a seperate Coral Glow that originated in Europe.

Gosh, that is pretty Kyle.

Gee, my computer must be locked in a time warp because I still have the problem. The 2 pics of Coral Glow and Coral Pink are still the same picture for both and Kyle's picture is not the thumbnail one. I have refreshed the page and it stays the same.

I had named a hybrid of the Rubirosa - Family Coral Glow, not knowing at that time, that this name was already official published by a other breeder. For that reason I had to rename my hybrid into Coral Pink.

Gee you guys take care of things in a flash. I wasn't and hope I did't cause any hard feelings or problems by posting this. It's just that, that photo was leading people to believe that this was the flower they are getting as coral glow.

Mine as gone2seed said does bloom kind of frostyish/suave and is a large bloom and darker in color than frosty or suave pink.

Thanks for getting that cleared up so quickly tig.I guess I should have opened the thumbnail. That's usually all I look at because a lot of tehm do not increase in size when you open them so I don't.

The cuttings you sent are doing great also. Thanks!

I just looked in the BGI gallery at the new pic of coral glow and that is the one I know and have.

Marshfield, MO(Zone 6a)

I wondered about that because I have the FP look alike coral glow and when I posted that I would have cuttings, a lot of people wanted them I think because they thought they were getting a german brug, lol.

Kyle's picture is used elsewhere on the site that's why I put Liz's picture in, we had it first. kell, refresh the page, it should show you different.

catsmeow, I was not hurt at all because this can always happen.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

No hard feelings here, I feel bad for those that thought they would be getting this one. Glad it's cleared up.
