Have any of you stored your bulbs in sawdust over the winter?
I lost some of my dahila's over last winter and wanted something to keep them from drying out. I used sand last year.
I got a couple of bags of sawdust from the carpenter shop at work and thought I'd try that.
Todays basements are so warm, it's hard to find a cool spot to store bulbs in.

Sawdust for Storing Bulbs
I would stick with peat or sand
I have used dry fir wood shavings but never sawdust. I have also used vermiculite. Today I use nothing at all but a clean open ziplock bag.
This works best for me but remember D's like about forty degree storage and as steady as you can keep it. I also enjoy storage in an old time root cellar.
I have often thought if one could find an old refrigerator that is frost free what could be better. You would have to open the door every day or so because they need air. Ernie
