Marclay, is iroweed the dark purple flowered veronia? I ask because I am constantly at odds with a friend who uses common names for plants different than the ones I know. If it is, I'd love some seeds. I'd be more than happy to send postage, SASE, or trade for some Salvia coccinea seeds. (The Salvia seeds come from F1 hybrids, red ones and pink ones). I also have Saltmarsh Mallow seeds, Kosteletzkya virginica.

I have to say Ironweed grows wild on my property and the swallowtails love it. It is also a very pretty and tall plant.
