Rainy day and credit card sites.....

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

I know when I start going through this one, my credit card will get a work out. Looks like plenty here to keep me busy on several rainy or snowy days. May get me in trouble.

Not to mention the spring days needed to plant it all! I always go nuts on bulbs every year but as I click on them to buy I rarely think of actually having to plant them and finding space for them.

Medford, NJ(Zone 6b)

I'm going to pretend I didn't read your posting. I can't hear you!!! I can't I tell you! Now behave yourself Shirley and stop trying to drag the rest of us down with your ship, LOL.......
I hear you Kell. I still have stuff from spring that I haven't planted yet.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Well, you guys are no fun!! What happened to "shop til you drop"? Bulbs....shoot I just remembered that I have some that aren't planted sitting in the family room. Guess I better either plant them or pot them.

San Antonio, TX(Zone 9a)

I found the neatest site the other for Amaryllis bulbs (doubles) and Cupid cannas for fantastic prices. I failed to write it down and now my feeble brain can't remember their name. Why do I do these things?

You are so BAD Shirley ... from one who has had no willpower lately. Looks like a great site ....Thanks for posting. One never knows what we will find among all those links...

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

I deceided to make no plans at all! I'll roll myself into a large pot in the Greenhouse to hold my winter sleep!

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

That doesn't sound like a bad idea Monika. Do you think spring would get here quicker???

Yukon, OK(Zone 7b)

Shirley....you know if I click on that site I am doomed! My motto used to be "Never say never"!!! Now it's "Never let DH see the credit card bill"!! Oh my...I have no self control when it comes to plants. I just need more space and I'd be happy! LOL

Brinda :)

I dont know. It would be there when I wake up. At least, I hope so!

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Well, maybe I'll just stay awake and spend money. I need to order about 100 two gallon size pots before I do anything else. It isn't hard for me to spend money. Need to find a heater for my bird bath too, and now that the sites are running faster, maybe I can get into the Wally world site. I'm off to spend............

You are so bad Brugie!! LOL. Well we had a couple of bad, cold days and now it is going back up to the 70s and sunshine! Hopefully that is all the winter we will have.
LOL

So Sylvia......remember that amaryllis site. I am in love with amaryllis!!!

Vancleave, MS(Zone 8b)

Don't go over board Shirley. You'll have it maxed out before you know it. LOL

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Hey Donna. that is the fun in winter! Shop until your computer drops! LOL

At this time of the year, I'm doing Christmas shopping on line, so if I throw in a few more things for ME, Jim never notices. Actually, about the worst thing that happens is that he will say "the card bill looks a little steep this month, doesn't it" and then he never says another word. We never ever have a balance on our card. It just saves having to pay for checks that I don't have to write. Those little pieces of paper get more expensive every time I order them. Last year we got over $90 back for using our Discover card and that was better interest than the banks are giving.

We also pay the bill off every month. I've got a credit card that puts 1% or more into a reputable mutual fund. I discovered I can put the auto & homeowner ins. on it! My neighbor gets airline mileage and puts his two kids' college tuition & room & board on it (then pays the bill when it comes). He gets a couple free trips a year to CA to visit his Mom.

See all the money we save by spending it? Sounds like a good plan to me.
