I found DG a few months ago but just became a subscribing member today and I am enjoying it already. I am from Hagerstown, Md. I'm not new to gardening but I am learning all I can. I love to trade plants and seeds. I am a tropical plant addict. Last year was my first year at winter sowing and growing under lights inside. My DH help me build a light setup in our basement and I grew over a thousand plants from seeds in which most I gave away to friends and family. I just like taking care of all those seedlings over the dreary winter months. I am now into propagation and I am learning day by day on what works best for me.
I am looking forward to making new friends here and gathing all the information I can. Just call me Dott

Hi Dott. Welcome to Daves and one of the biggest families you will probably ever see. I'm sure our paths will cross frequently so if you see that I have something you are interested in, just give me a yell. Have a great time here. It just gets better and better with each day.

dot - welcome to daves garden from your new york neighbor. ocean city is my favorite place in the states.
Welcome to Davesgarden. It sounds like you have a jungle in your basement and you need a greenhouse!
Welcome Dott - just a few miles south of ya!
Do you know Haigr (Candee) in Hagerstown? She loves Tropicals too and is one sweetie pie of a lady!
Welcome Dot.I heard you folks had excessive rain this summer. Hope it didn't ruin your garden.Hope to see you around here in DG.
Wow, You all are so friendly.
Roadrunner, I just recently entered into a plant exchange with another DG member but we found each other on the GW and it didn't take much convincing for me to subscribe to DG. Thanks shirley1md
Brugie, if your name is any indication that you have a passion for brugs I'm sure we will cross paths. I am new to the world of brugs and I am infatuated with them.
Herbie, someday I would love to come to NY and see all the sites.
Mary E, I do have a jungle in the basement. I'm not sure I'll even be growing many seedlings this year down there. I have gotten a lot of tropicals this year and they all needed the space for the winter but who knows. When winter bordom comes in after the holidays I may have to setup some more lights.
Dea, No I don't know her or have talk to her yet but Shirley was telling me a little of how she lives here in the area and of the roundup you guys might be arranging in the spring. Maybe I will get involved in the swap.
ZenZinna, we did have way to much rain. None of my plants were ruined but my daylilies didn't produce to many new fans and I figures that had a lot to do with the excess rain.
Thanks all for the nice welcome and I am looking forward to running into you all in the post here. Hopefully I will get to talk to Candee here soon.

Lucky Lady that you know Shirley! Now there is one Great Lady who has helped me so much :)
From your Hometown - Welcome Dott, sorry I am a day late here or better. Shirley and Road both put me on to you. You are gonna love it here at DG everyone is wonderful!
I am into some tropicals, but not nearly as productive as it sounds like you are. We put in the "Isle of our Dreams" this past year and have 3 Ravenea rivularis, which I am trying to over winter, but probably won't happen, fun trying though.
I look forward to meeting you it is so nice to have another Hometowner around. I met Troy from Hanover and another gentleman (forgotten the name) as I think he has stopped posting so look forward to meeting another!!!
Awesome! Welcome to the real garden!!
