Question about germinating seeds

Central, AR(Zone 7b)

Does anyone know of good site that will tell me the different ways to germinate seeds-- like if a particular seed needs light or darkness---stratify or scarification? When to sow the seed in the greenhouse? Without having to search each particular seed name thru a search engine? Tracy

Thanks for posting that last one, Ursula. My grandmother was from County Mayo so it was fun to see it mentioned.
