THat is a fully grown palm. They only get 1-2' tall.

Well, for goodness sakes! I just assumed all palms were tall and wavy! That's how much I know about palms. Being from the midwest certainly has its disadvantages. Thanks for letting me know.

That's OK... that's how most people picture palms... probably a third of all palms are small things (at least so far here in So Cal)- if you would wander about my old garden, which has over 180 species of palms growing in it, you would be hard pressed to find even half of them... most are more like small shrubs down to blades of grass.
