My brugs have finally opened their blooms. Just my bad luck! I had a horrible time taking this pic in the bad winds.
It is supposed to be BF. I had only a couple blooms on this all summer. I am glad it decided to grace my garden once again with its beauty not to mention its pollen! LOL.
oops...... I need spell check!

Terrible storm starting here.
Butterfly has become a favorite of mine due to the non stop blooming it does here.
I just got a couple of butterfly cuttings, can't wait until next summer. Beautiful Brug picture.
Butterfly is my favorite, beautiful bloom, smells good also.
So this looks like Butterfly to you all? I have one I got from another friend, that I gave away with vising rights and it never opens all the way and is a much darker pink. I think I will try to cross pollinate and see if I get a pod on either.
Mine was darker, no yellow in center, but shape, tendrils etc. looks like B, at this time of the year. Does it smell good, or is too high up for you to smell?
Hi Gloria! I have a little ladder I am standing on to get to these flowers...... I just took out all the anthers on all the flowers that are opened. I am about to pollinate them with Rk and EP. I didn't notice a fragrance but it is noon here now. About to pour. I wonder if I am wasting my time and pollen, pollinating so late, not to mention the storm descending upon us.
She is pretty Kell. Be careful getting up on that ladder. Most accidents happen at home.
I pollinated Butterfly in October. Had 4 seedpods, had to bring plant inside due to frost, 3 dropped off, keeping my fingers crossed that last one stays on. Seedpod is getting bigger. Wish me luck, it was either Aurea Pink, or EP pollen.
Kell, I hope the storm is not too bad and does not mess any of your brugs. Be careful on that ladder!!!!
Either would be a great cross Gloria!! I will keep my fingers and toes crossed for you. I wonder if I will have the same problem in the hoophouse when I move them in.
Of course just getting these huge pots to the back yard should knock quite a few off!
I will be careful, I am such a klutz!!
forget the ladder Kell---be careful moving those big pots!!!!! good luck with you crossing. cheryl
I hope your weather was not too bad Kell. Cheryl is correct about the pots. Your back causes you problems like mine. A couple years ago, I could barely get around for 3 weeks because of sitting a big pot down leaning to the side. Be Careful!!
Kell, beautiful shot, but as others have said be very careful with ladders. Hope the storm isn't too bad. Our weather has finally moderated from very cold to typical cold fall day. Donna
Hey guys that is why God gave me Tom! LOL. Poor guy tries to watch his games and the entire neighborhood can hear me yelling TOMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM come move this pot!!
I can't even move an empty one for they are huge ceramic ones. This year I am going to buy one of those dollies. Will they move a rounded pot?
I move my 15 gallon size with one, no problem as long as you can get it tipped and ready to roll without it falling off.
so just a regular dollie should work Brugie?
That is what I use. I move my soil around with it. It comes in those 3 cubic foot bags and they are hard to get from the truck, across the back yard, and into the greenhouse without the dollie. I think mine cost about $50 but we got the one with the big air filled tires so it would roll over the yard easily. If you don't have bumpy lawn to deal with, you could probably get a cheaper one.
Kell, there are some nice light dollie i've seen on HD. they looked light but are very sturdy. check around @ HD and Lowe's.
Thanks you 2, I will be on the hunt. The hoophouse is almost up. But will it stay up is the question. I got Tom to make it 4 feet taller against his better judgment.....LOL
Up in the sky. Look! It's a plane.
It's an eagle. It's superman! NOOOOOOOOOOOOO it Kell's hoophouse!
LOL Kell! hope ur hoop house stays on the ground! keeping toes and fingers cross for u :)!
If the plastic lays on the ground at all, just toss some bags of potting soil on it to hold it down. Should help anyway. How did this storm affect you, or did it? Sounded like it was going to be a bad one.
