Gotta love those reds! Such a clear, vibrant red on this plant. The foliage looks neat too. Wonderful photo. Thanks.

Morning roshana -

I've been very pleased with this Lobelia. It gets tall and the wind can be a problem for it. I've cut it to the ground twice since Spring and this is its third time around. Beautiful true red color with burgandy foliage. It's a keeper with long lasting blooms.

I just planted two of them, and hope that they come up to scratch. They're just in a regular bed, and not a wet area. I'll have to be sure to keep them well watered.

I do hope you enjoy yours as much as I do mine. If wind is a problem for you, stake them early to prevent the tall flower stalks from breaking. I learned the hard way.

The Cardinal Lobelia plants are always a center pieces of our flower garden, especially since it is the biggest hummingbird attraction in the garden. We usually have 3 or 4 plants just to keep the 'little hummers' happy and entertaining us. For us it is not hardy to anywhere close to the advertised temperatures, though. Here in zone 8b they get to stay in the well house during the winter, now that we have learned the hard way.
