Those are very healthy looking leaves that yu have on your Datura. I started some from seeds this year as well and had really good luck. I am going to try to mulch and keep those plants but will plant seeds again in case they don't last the winter.

goswimmin-Mary: Do have any more seeds from this plant? I want one of these plants... but I can not find them or the seeds ANYWHERE?
This is the same plant that I have growing in my yard. I am about to harvest the seeds in a few days. My plants have been very easy to grow.
If you have any extra ones... could you mail me some?!?!?!?! I have some salvia seeds I could trade you if you want some of those?!?!?!?!
I have a few seeds from my plants this year. Post your email address and I'll see what I can do.
I sent you an e-mail that has my e-mail address on it like you requested.
I just bought one of these plants. How long does one of these plant live? I have had Brugmansia with great success for many years, and I thought Datra was just like the Brugs. I have a large bloom just about to fall off, should I always have seeds sown and/or cuttings rooting? I live in Florida zone 9b, and when I bought the plant it looked horrible. I brought it home fed it and have kept the soil moist. Now it it is putting out new growth. I hope it lasts through Spring!
My plant has a small ball of seeds that grows about the end of fall. Harvest the balls when they get large say about 1 inch in diameter. I usually wait until the day before a frost and gather them. Each ball has literally 1oo seeds or so. I dry them and plant them in small pots usually early march then transplant them after the danger of frost is gone.
