I have been on every Dane adoption site list daily and filled out numerous, numerous adoption paperwork over and over. I sent an email to every humane society and animal control facility in every neighboring state, letting them know I'd take any dane that came in. Not a single call. One place in Alabama emailed and said, "Yes Summer is still up for adoption, fill out the adoption paperwork and she's yours" So, I go to the link she sends and there's no app to fill out. So I email her back asking about it-I am so excited two days later I get a reply-sorry, Summer has been adopted out. I had gotten really discouraged after that.
But last night, I get an email from a local animal control facility who says that a woman called wanting to place her Great Dane and here's her number. I called last night and have arranged to meet the family and their dog this weekend. I am excited again! Praying something will not go wrong-going to call "Diamond"'s Vet office shortly to inquire on her health. They say they just cannot afford her anymore, but they are keeping one of her puppies. I am suspicous. How could they keep one of her puppies and do this to her? Great Danes are SO attached to their families. He said she's never been inside the house-boy will she love her own bed at my house.
Does anyone know of any other things I need to check? Besides with the vet? I would imagine they can cover it all.
