One of my UGLIES

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

This is a Rosamond X Butterfly reject. Gone for now except for a couple of people who wanted it for some reason. I don't expect they will keep it once they have grown it out. It didn't open well, has too much suaveolens in it, and was a poor bloomer. I blamed the latter on the hot summer that we had.

Hey, Arlene, you could have put that one out Halloween. Looks kind of witchy. lol

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

mini, you are too funny..... i gave it away. it realy deserved the compost pile.

Denver, CO(Zone 5b)

LOL Arlene! I got a cutting of one! Can wait to see mine! :o) I LOVE all my cuttings tho!

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

Some of those seedlings are really pretty, Shelly, bet yours will be.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Arlene, the bloom itself looks good. Too bad the calyx didn't fit the bloom.

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

I don't have enough pictures on my camera to take shots of all my rejects,my compost heap it way bigger now.....

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

I think I could fill a whole thread of uglies up myself :)~ I really like this one. The color stunk but I loved the shape of the bloom. The flowers started to brown after only two days... and the weather wasn't even hot. She's history now. This was a Versi peach x Butterfly cross.

I don't know why nobody likes Frosty. I think it's beautiful.

Brugvalley, Germany(Zone 7b)

It is a seedling from me, not Frosty.

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

Lol. I think everyone like Frosty.... there's nothin wrong with that one :o) Hybridizers are just trying to avoid look-a-likes that are already available. There are already several Frosty look-a-likes that are on the market.

Vancleave, MS(Zone 8b)

Shirley it's not that bad. i think it is pretty and looks to have huge leaves.

Milton, FL(Zone 8a)

Linda,we all joke about Dr Seuss and Frosty but we all have them.I wouldn't trade mine for Firebird.Well, maybe!

Jackson, SC(Zone 8a)

oh my trowing rejects away and someof us would give dearly for them. just to have different colors. i love all the few i have and wouldnt throw any away.

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

Here's a bunch of Frosty look-a-likes. They were pretty... but how many Frosties can one handle? I did keep a couple cuttings from the ones that I liked and looked like they'd be good bloomers. The others got the boot including my Isabella plant. I had a hard time telling these plants apart and only knew them from where they were planted in the yard. I had to take a note book with me when I took pictures and write down their numbers as I photoed .... because I can't tell from the pictures.
