Night blooming cereus
Most flowers that bloom at night are white and are pollinated by moths. I've not seen night-blooming cereus in any color but white.
Oh Wow! That is gorgeous. I would love to get one of those.I will have to check into that one. Very pretty
tortoisekeeper.
As far as I know Epiphyllum Oxypetelum are white, I could be wrong just never seen anything but white but there are a lot of different Epiphyllum in many colors.
Thanks for the info everyone! Anyone have other Epiphyllum to trade?

Betty ,
..... an interesting fact is that your Queen Of The Night is in reality NOT a cereus at all. I have these and growers recommend a good draining planting medium like a commercial orchid mix.
.....Check out Jim Hunters EPI Universe ,tons of info concerning your epi and many different cereus'
Thanks scotterbug. I will check it out.

HoniBee,
.... depending on what you have ,Epiphyllum Oxypetelum aka Queen Of The Night, Is more apt to bloom if kept root bound.
......Every 3 or 4 years you should re-pot which means removing from the pot and scraping a couple inches of dirt and roots off, put fresh potting medium in original pot ,replace the epi and fill in with more of the new growing mix.
This is a PDB photo showing the characteristic flat leaf of the N.B.C. Queen Of The Night.
these are so beautiful does anyone have start of them to trade for??.. blessings
hope43 I should have more in the spring. Get back to me than.
