Melody/computer troubles/solar storm?

I just got an email from Mel, she wants to let folks know her puter is giving her fits!

She can use her email, but not view webpages. Anyone have any idea what would cause this?

Reason I ask is maybe I can relay the solution to her, if there is any.

Also, get this! MY puter has been having troubles the past two days/nites. I can connect to the Internet, but have trouble bringing up Webpages also! Think it could be the result of the solar storm?

My thinking is I connect to the Net thru my phone line to my ISP...but they provide the web pages to us thru satelite, and the solar stuff could be messing w/the satelite? I keep trying to connect and eventually get thru.

And now, one final deal...it just possibly COULD be my puter again! I've tried making changes under Internet options and such, no luck. I've re-booted numerous, no luck. However, when I reset my system (not re-boot it) it comes back on, checks for disk errors and I assume repairs them and THEN I can connect to the web pages.

Does that tell anyone anything? (Bad modem or sumpin'?)
