My Porter weed is very popular right now, it is providing food for many different kinds of butterflies. Both the long tailed and short tailed skipper seem to really like this plant.

Yes this is a great plant for a butterfly garden. It attracts all sorts of butterflys and the big solitary bumbles as well. I have 2 that get pretty big each year. They froze back last winter and are doing even better this year.
We're finally seeing lots of butterflys, the yard has been full of them lately. Til now it's been pretty slow!
