Mount Angel, OR(Zone 8a)

Awake early, so I thought I 'd start this.
Promised our two oldest DDs I would take them to the tea room in the little neighboring town for lunch since they helped me hang new wallpaper in the kitchen. So we will do that today. Also maybe snoop around in a few shops too. This should be enjoyable. The second oldest,Katy, the married one too, is heading to Rome next week with her hubby. They were planning this before they were married; this trip to Rome hoping to get into a papal audience and they did manage to do that too. The oldest DD,Theresa, is do some wedding planning. It is funny how it stops and starts again. She hasn't set an absolute date yet with the church. I saw Katy do the same thing. Making that date appointment with the parish is like knowing making that committment to go through with this/ that seems to be a big jump for them. She will do it but I can see the mental process they go through.
Will haul a few plants into the house today, that I don't want to freeze. I have about 5 brug babies and a passiflora that wouldn't be hardy here. My greenhouse is no guarantee against a hard frost, no heat in there.
Mary, sounds like that lasagna bed is slowly but surely getting done. Big job, huh?
Ruth, we have about 4 new shade trees to plant but first about that many need to come down. Not looking forward to the mess.
leaflady, hope your hubby feels better soon.
Kathleen, got any rose cuttings going?
Take care all and God Bless.
