two very nice people,Tonny and Lene.I had the chance to go back to Denmark a few weeks ago,and was welcomed into their home and hearts. My Brug friend from Germany,Ingrid, came as well and we brought them a basket of plants and left with bags and bags of cuttings!!!
Tonny is one of the kindest persons that I have ever met(great cook, too) and I must say Lene is one lucky lady to have him. Here they are in the winter garden
I want you to meet.....
Oh how wonderful. Lucky you. I bet that was a fabulous trip.
I'm sure your vacation will long be remembered by all of you. Hope you will post pictures next year of some of the brugs you will be growing from Tonny and Lene.
Glad to see you had such a wonderful time, Gwist! I bet his place is beautiful.
DonnaB,it was really great and very sunny in the end.I haven't been to Denmark in 10 years, and now I have a reason to return :).
Well Shirley,I was lucky to get some of his new crosses and lots of,well, other stuff, lol. Most of the cuttings have roots,so I also am excited to see what comes up next year.
It looks like a dream kinda place for me too. I'm so glad he got his winterhouse all finished up. I remember last year at this time he was working franticly to get it done. Thanks for posting the pics. I've enjoyed looking at them.
Thanks Gwist for the wonderful pictures. I know you had a great time visiting Tonny and Lene. It looks like a dream vacation to me and I love the quaintness of their home and all the lovely brugs everywhere. Tonny is a very giving person and I know you went home with lots of cuttings. Can't wait to see some of those new baby brugs next year.
Wow what a great place. I bet he is great fun to visit. I miss Tonny's fun posts! So tell the truth Gwist, does Lene have to glue Tonny's shoes to the floor to keep him well grounded? LOL
Apparently, you four had a good time together and were able to exchange ideas and experiences.
Brugnanny,I didn't realise how many until I started potting them up,lol.
Kell, that question I can't answer, but he does seem to be well-rooted to his area(sorry bad pun).
Monika, lots to talk about, but I think Ingrid felt a bit left out at times because we spoke mostly English.Oops, almost forgot a picture of her!She has some great Brugs,as well,so one can imagine what we mostly spoke about :-).
Gwist, is Ingrid the friend you talked about last year who gave you some great brugs? Does she live in Germany?
Sounds like you had a great time. Looks like a brug dream place.
sure do miss Tonny and Mr. plantaholics posts-----------:( cheryl
