Do any of you "brugie pros" prune them hard? I pretty much left them alone last year (all over the house), but there are too many, they're so big and they now have to compete for space with the hibiscus, bananas and palms. I do have what is termed a cool greenhouse - lowest temp has been 42f.
NO ROOM for winter
Sounds like your cool greenhouse will be okay for brugs to winter. It might be a little cool for the versicolor brugs that like to be warmer.
tiG, I bet it broke your heart to cut that baby back!
it hurt worse to cut back Butterfly, I bet I cut off a couple of hundred buds. :( oh well, there's next year and it did bloom all summer.
Good luck SpringOaks
I don't overwinter many whole plants because of not having enough room. Cuttings work for me and seem to get just as big the next year and bloom just as much as the trees I do hold over.
