Ipomoea pandurata - Seeds? Anyone PLEASE???

Dundee, OH(Zone 5b)

Hi all, was bidding on some of these, but price is skyrocketing, and I dearly want some. Does anyone have any at all to trade?? I will give you anything I have that you want!!!! Well almost anything, lol, seeds I will anyway!!!
Shame of it all is I went way over price I would normally have paid, BUT someone keeps outbidding me!!! If I cannot find any, I just know I will get in trouble by hubby, cuz I WILL go back and outbid!!! LOL
Thanks much
Laurrie

Isn't that a weed in the South?

Jackson, SC(Zone 8a)

Yes it is considered a weed in the south to some. I have never known this plant to seed. i even asked once before about it seeding here on Daves and was told by a few that have it theirs have never seeded. so i am beginning to wonder if it does seed. i do know that it does root by touching the ground and was told by clemson university it mainly propergates by tubers.

laurrie, dont make hubby mad. i looked at these and wow the price on them. wow my hubby would kill me for buying them just at that price. shoot they had blue silk mgs last week and those went for over 20.00 for 10 seeds. not worth it.

i hope you find them.

I have cuttings of this one, it doesn't seed off eaither.
Only when the runners touch the ground, then it roots.

Right, I meant maybe someone had some, before spending $$$ on them! I cannot believe what things get bid up to on eBay.

Brooksville, FL(Zone 9a)

If it is the same thing that I have, I have never found any seeds on it. It sends out runners on the ground and roots like crazy everywhere!

Is this the same thing??

I could send you cuttings with roots - they would probably survive (I don't think you can kill it).

YES - that is it!!! I really would love to get my hands on some of this plant. hummmmm, wonder if Dave has access to it? Wonder if he is growing it or just got those wonderful photos to post here. Maybe I will write him and ask>
Thanks much for the link!!
Laurrie

We have that growing all over around here. I don't know if i can get to it though. It grows down by the nature center
but it's across a stretch of water. I use to wade across
until they found a gator living down there. I wonder how
many times i walked by him in the past.lol. I'll look around and see what i can find on my next daily romp at
the center.
