printer help needed

i have a lexmark z22 printer. less than a yr old. i have been using a refill kit to renew the cartriges with ink. all of a sudden it will not show the color cartrige as having ink in it amd the printer prints out black, grey and white lines only no matter what you are trying to print.
what is wtrong
