I Finally found this page !

Hi Gardners !
I am from Louisiana, I stumbled on this site by accident and WOW what a place this is ! While looking for this page (two days ago) I got lost in all the wonderful information so I am just now showing up here, you guys are great.
I just married and moved to the NE rural part of this state last Nov. (2002) from Califonia and have just begun to garden here (three acres to play in the dirt). Wow a state that actually gets RAIN weeeeee...I am sculpting raised flower beds and using trellis and trees as back drops for those beds.
My vegetable gardens are being grown with the Sq. Foot Gardening Method and it is amazing how well they have done this year using less space, and no weeding, woohoooooooo !
I love canning, cooking, and fishing. I have 4 geese I call Fred, Ethel, Ricky and Lucy, who help me to control all the vineing, crawling and creeping things we have that grow here in Louisiana that are known to choke the life right out of a garden.
I look forward to meeting you all....oops that is spelled Y'all ( I keep forgetting I am a southerner now lol)
And learning and sharing in this wonderful place, where we all love to play in the dirt !

I am simply amazed Jo, I have been a member here for less than a week and already it is the first thing I read with my Morning Coffee.....For years I wanted to be able to garden and try new things...I am finally getting the chance to do just that.
